This was a recipe that Sara found on Pinterest and all the Stepford Sisters wanted to try. So at our latest Stepford gathering we did!
Ingredients: (per sandwich)
2 slices of multi-grain Bread
1-2 oz brie
3 roasted strawberries, sliced
1 TBS butter
1/2-1 oz Good quality Dark Chocolate
To Roast the Strawberries:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Toss sliced strawberries with canola oil and a pinch of salt, then spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
Heat a large skillet or grilled over medium-low heat. Butter the sides of two slices of bread, place them on the skillet buttered-side down, then layer on a few slices of cheese, chocolate and roasted strawberries. Top with a few more slices of cheese, then butter one side of the other bread slices, and place on top of the cheese. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese has started to melt, then gently flip the sandwich and cook until golden. Serve immediately!
They were so good! However, we did not take any pictures of us actually eating them because they were too messy! We might have gone overboard with the chocolate...
